Join us in Vegas for ETA’s 2024 TRANSACT Conference

Written by Ryan on News

Mark those calendars and practice your poker face. The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) annual TRANSACT Conference is this month. Payment’s big event is happening April 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay in Nevada’s oasis: Las Vegas.

An overview of the 2024 ETA Transact Conference.

ETA’s TRANSACT is the very heart of payments events. Everyone who’s anyone in the industry will be there. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to build new relationships and build up existing ones — this is the place to create your own payments community.

Staying on top of an industry in constant flux is the overarching theme for the conference. The event is, as ETA says, “Three days of innovation and connection, endless possibilities for your business. That’s TRANSACT.”

And this year, the organization is boasting a veritable smorgasbord of payment awesomeness.

  • Over 3000 attendees (see above note about “everyone who’s anyone”).
  • Over 800 C-suite-level executives.
  • Over 150 payments and fintech exhibitors.
  • Over 150 industry-specialized speakers.
  • Over 1500 minutes of action-packed learning.

That’s a lot of “overs.” And with the event happening in Vegas, the over/under odds of impressing others and improving your place in payments technologies are ever in your favor.

How does the ETA help advance the payments industry?

In case you’re unfamiliar with ETA, we’ll do a little historical recap. The association originated in 1990 with fewer than 20 people from the payments industry getting together to align their vision and voice. That voice grew much stronger, and in 1996, the group changed its name to the Electronic Transactions Association. ETA is now an association with nearly 500 member companies in 30 countries.

ETA’s mission and goals.

ETA has grown to become the world’s leading advocacy and trade association for the payments industry. Members are both the big players and the small-but-mighty innovators — and they hail from across the U.S. and around the world. In total, ETA members process approximately $47 trillion annually in purchases and P2P payments worldwide.

ETA’s members come from across the payments spectrum, and include independent sales organizations (ISOs), merchants, payments networks, financial institutions, transaction processors, mobile payments products and services, payments technologies, and software providers (ISV) and hardware suppliers.

Their mission is simple and powerful: To fully serve ETA members and advance their profession by providing leadership through education, advocacy, and the exchange of information.
